Hugh Hugh Announcement....

Our Hollaback mothership has agreed to give us some really serious real estate on our global page for IDAHO. In addition to doing a story collecting station (the logistics of which we're working out), we would like to give a king-sized platform to 6 guest bloggers to write about their experiences with harassment and discrimination for being LGB, trans, or Muslim. We are seeking bloggers willing to speak up and out against harassment: 2 gay people, 2 transgendered people, and 1 Muslim (We know a blogger who writes for an anti-Islamophobia website, and she's tentatively signed on already). Basically, we want to give a voice and a space for people to educate on the dangers of homophobia, transphobia, and Islamophobia. We will post these articles/op-eds/blogs on Atlanta's Hollaback as well as on the main site, which has an active readership in ten countries and 25 cities now (with 30 more cities coming soon!).

Do you know a few people that would be willing to have their voice heard around the world? Posting anonymously is absolutely an option for those who do not feel comfortable sharing their real names. Please feel free to pass this email along to your networks. The posts will go live throughout IDAHO week, from Sunday through Friday.
